The ROOTS project gave 2 laptops to the Department of Planning under the Ministry of Agriculture. The laptops had an upgraded Market Information System developed by United Purpose. The Market Information System had 3 additional languages (Fula, Jola, and Serrehulleh) and 11 new markets (covering all regions). This would provide a user–friendly platform for sharing market prices of crops and vegetables across the Country. The additional languages and markets would allow a broader range of users to access market information, which would benefit agricultural planning and policymaking.
