Today, 10th September, 2021, GYIN Gambia was among the key stakeholders that participated in the review and national validation workshop of the Country Strategic Opportunities Programme (COSOP 2019-2024).
The validation workshop was organised by the ROOTS Project at the Kalimba Hotel.
The COSOP comprised of two strategic objectives which includes:
1) Enhancing the Productivity and Resilience of Gambian family farms through accelerated adaption to changing climate and riverine water availability.
2) Strengthening Value Chains while generating new job opportunities for rural youth by improving the asset maintenance and post-harvest management capacities of organizations/Cooperatives.
During the program, the ROOTS Project Director, Mr Mamour Alieu Jagne, hailed GYIN Gambia’s work particularly in it’s recent collaboration in the implemention of the COVID-19 cash grant relieved support to 30 young Farmers across the country.
