On Friday 13th May 2022, the ROOTS Project in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DOA) and FAO, graduated twenty-three (23) Famer Field School (FFS) Master Trainers. Twelve from the twenty-three were selected by ROOTS from the six Agricultural Regions.
In line with the Project’s Development Objectives Farmer Field School is identified as a tool for agricultural services extension.
The FFS Master Trainers will provide planning, training, monitoring and support the coordination of FFS within the Regions. They will be used to train FFS Facilitators who will be implementing FFS at ROOTS implementation communities. The Master Trainers will serve the DOA and other projects for the implementation FFS programs with the Country.
Furthermore, the efforts are geared towards building the capacities of the beneficiary Farmers for improving production and productivity and sustaining their groups.
